StepChallenge Privacy Policy

StepChallenge lets you compete with friends on daily steps and walking distance. This policy explains what data the app uses and who can see it.

Health data

With your permission, StepChallenge reads your step count and walking + running distance from Apple Health. The app only reads this data; it never writes to Apple Health. Steps you enter manually in the Health app are ignored.

Only daily totals (one step count and one distance per day, for the last 30 days) leave your device. Individual samples, times, locations, and any other health data are never uploaded.

What we store

• Your display name, emoji avatar, and friend code.
• Your daily step and distance totals.
• Your friends list, and the groups and challenges you create or join.
• Messages you send to friends.
• Messages you send us, and any screenshot you attach to one.
• Which version of the app your phone is running, when you last opened it, and its time zone, so we know who needs an update and can keep notifications quiet at night.
• Which app or device wrote today's steps and distance into Apple Health — the name only, such as your iPhone or a watch — so we can explain a figure that looks wrong. Only you and the developer can see this.
• A count of the times your app couldn't load something it needed, with the day and the app version. No message text, no screens, no crash reports. It is how we find a phone that has quietly stopped working.
• If you follow an invitation on an Android phone and ask to be told when the Android app is ready, we keep the email address you give us and the date you asked, and nothing else — not who invited you. We use it for that one message and delete it afterwards. There is no account, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.

This data is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). You sign in with Apple or Google; we only use this to identify your account. We don't read your email, and we don't collect your phone number or contacts.

Who can see your data

Your daily totals are visible only to people you add as friends (or who add you with your friend code) and to participants of challenges you join. You can remove a friend at any time, which stops both of you from seeing each other's totals.

Messages

You can message people who are your friends in the app. A conversation is visible only to the two people in it. You can delete any message you sent, which removes it for both of you. If you remove a friend, the conversation stays readable but neither of you can send new messages.

Groups

When you join a group, the group's members see your name, emoji, and a short summary of your recent steps (the last 7 days, today's distance, and your best hour). Leaving a group removes your summary from it immediately. Nobody can add you to a group without your acceptance.

Messages to us

In Settings you can send us a message about a bug, an idea, or anything else, and attach a screenshot if it helps. We see your message, your name, and which version of the app you're running — the version is there so we can tell whether a problem is already fixed. Only we can read it; nobody else using the app can. We keep messages so we can look back at what people have asked for; write to us at the address below if you'd like yours deleted, and deleting your account removes them too.

Blocking and reporting

You can block anyone, which ends the friendship and stops them from sending you friend requests, group invitations, or messages. You can report a person or a message; reports are private and reviewed by us.

What we don't do

• No advertising or tracking, and no third-party analytics service. We count how often parts of the app get opened, so we can tell which features are worth keeping and which to drop, and we count the times your phone couldn't load something it needed, so we can find out that an app is failing without waiting for someone to tell us. Both are counts, never content. They sit in our own database with everything else, and they go when your account does.
• Health data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
• Health data is never written to logs.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in the app under You → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, step history, friendships, messages you sent, and the groups and challenges you created. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.

يتيح لك StepChallenge التنافس مع أصدقائك في عدد الخطوات ومسافة المشي اليومية. توضّح هذه السياسة البيانات التي يستخدمها التطبيق ومن يمكنه رؤيتها.

بيانات الصحة

بإذنك، يقرأ StepChallenge عدد خطواتك ومسافة المشي والجري من تطبيق الصحة. التطبيق يقرأ هذه البيانات فقط ولا يكتب أي شيء في تطبيق الصحة. الخطوات المُدخلة يدويًا في تطبيق الصحة لا تُحتسب.

لا يغادر جهازك إلا المجموع اليومي (عدد خطوات ومسافة واحدة لكل يوم، لآخر ٣٠ يومًا). لا تُرفع أبدًا القراءات التفصيلية أو الأوقات أو المواقع أو أي بيانات صحية أخرى.

ما نخزّنه

• اسمك الظاهر وصورتك الرمزية ورمز الصداقة.
• مجموع خطواتك ومسافتك اليومية.
• قائمة أصدقائك، والمجموعات والتحديات التي تنشئها أو تنضم إليها.
• الرسائل التي ترسلها إلينا، وأي لقطة شاشة ترفقها بها.
• الرسائل التي ترسلها إلى أصدقائك.
• إصدار التطبيق على هاتفك وآخر مرة فتحته فيها والمنطقة الزمنية، لمعرفة من يحتاج إلى تحديث ولإيقاف الإشعارات ليلًا.
• اسم التطبيق أو الجهاز الذي كتب خطوات اليوم ومسافته في تطبيق الصحة — الاسم فقط، مثل اسم هاتفك أو ساعتك — لنتمكن من تفسير أي رقم يبدو غير صحيح. لا يراه إلا أنت والمطوّر.
• عدد المرات التي لم يتمكن فيها تطبيقك من تحميل ما يحتاجه، مع اليوم وإصدار التطبيق. لا نص رسائل ولا شاشات ولا تقارير أعطال. بهذا نكتشف هاتفًا توقف عن العمل بصمت.
• إن فتحت دعوة على هاتف أندرويد وطلبت إشعارك عند جاهزية تطبيق أندرويد، نحتفظ بالبريد الإلكتروني الذي تكتبه وتاريخ طلبك، ولا شيء غير ذلك — ولا نحتفظ بمن دعاك. نستخدمه لتلك الرسالة وحدها ثم نحذفه. لا حساب هناك، ويمكنك طلب حذفه في أي وقت.

تُخزَّن هذه البيانات في Google Firebase (المصادقة وCloud Firestore). تسجّل الدخول عبر Apple أو Google، ونستخدم ذلك للتعرّف على حسابك فقط؛ فلا نقرأ بريدك الإلكتروني، ولا نجمع رقم هاتفك أو جهات اتصالك.

من يمكنه رؤية بياناتك

مجموعك اليومي مرئي فقط للأشخاص الذين تضيفهم كأصدقاء (أو الذين يضيفونك برمز الصداقة) وللمشاركين في التحديات التي تنضم إليها. يمكنك إزالة أي صديق في أي وقت، فيتوقف كلاكما عن رؤية مجموع الآخر.

الرسائل

يمكنك مراسلة أصدقائك في التطبيق. لا يرى المحادثة إلا الشخصان المشاركان فيها. يمكنك حذف أي رسالة أرسلتها فتُحذف لدى الطرفين. وإذا أزلت صديقًا تبقى المحادثة قابلة للقراءة لكن لا يستطيع أيٌّ منكما إرسال رسائل جديدة.

المجموعات

عند انضمامك إلى مجموعة، يرى أعضاؤها اسمك وصورتك الرمزية وملخصًا قصيرًا لخطواتك الأخيرة (آخر ٧ أيام، ومسافة اليوم، وأفضل ساعة). ومغادرة المجموعة تحذف ملخصك منها فورًا. لا يمكن لأحد إضافتك إلى مجموعة دون موافقتك.

الرسائل إلينا

من الإعدادات يمكنك مراسلتنا بخصوص خطأ أو فكرة أو أي أمر آخر، وإرفاق لقطة شاشة إن احتجت. نرى رسالتك واسمك وإصدار التطبيق لديك — والإصدار موجود لنعرف إن كانت المشكلة قد عولجت من قبل. لا يقرؤها أحد سوانا، ولا يراها أي مستخدم آخر. نحتفظ بالرسائل لنعود إليها ونعرف ما يطلبه الناس؛ راسلنا على العنوان أدناه إن أردت حذف رسائلك، وحذف حسابك يحذفها أيضًا.

الحظر والإبلاغ

يمكنك حظر أي شخص، فتنتهي الصداقة ولا يستطيع إرسال طلبات صداقة أو دعوات مجموعات أو رسائل إليك. ويمكنك الإبلاغ عن شخص أو رسالة؛ البلاغات سرّية ونراجعها بأنفسنا.

ما لا نفعله

• لا إعلانات ولا تتبّع ولا خدمة تحليلات من طرف ثالث. نحصي كم مرة تُفتح أجزاء التطبيق لنعرف أي الميزات تستحق البقاء وأيها نحذفه، ونحصي المرات التي تعذّر فيها على هاتفك تحميل ما يحتاجه لنعرف أن التطبيق يتعثّر دون أن ننتظر من يخبرنا. وكلاهما أعداد فقط لا محتوى، وتبقى في قاعدة بياناتنا مع بقية بياناتك، وتُحذف بحذف حسابك.
• لا تُباع بيانات الصحة ولا تُشارك مع أطراف ثالثة ولا تُستخدم للإعلانات.
• لا تُكتب بيانات الصحة في السجلات أبدًا.

حذف بياناتك

يمكنك حذف حسابك في أي وقت من داخل التطبيق: «أنت» ← «الحساب» ← «حذف الحساب». يؤدي ذلك إلى حذف ملفك وسجل خطواتك وصداقاتك والرسائل التي أرسلتها والمجموعات والتحديات التي أنشأتها نهائيًا. ويمكنك أيضًا مراسلتنا وسنحذفه نيابةً عنك.
